Attorney
Douglas R. Jackson is the founding firm member of Jackson & Curtin.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Ohio University
in 1972. While working at Eaton Corporation in Kentucky, he received his
MBA from Western Kentucky University in Finance and Marketing in 1977.
Mr. Jackson
has had several responsible positions in the business world, including
acting as Chairman/CEO of Traub, a large German company with its American
subsidiary headquartered in Long Island, New York. Mr. Jacksons
law degree was received from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in September
1984. Doug Jackson is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Columbus
Bar Association, Worthington Estate Planning Council, and is a member
of the American Cancer Society Planned Giving Council and Tax/Planned
Giving Advisor to the Catholic Foundation.
He is also admitted to the United States
District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He is a member of the
National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys which is a non-profit association
that assists lawyers, bar organizations and others who work with older
clients and their families. He especially enjoys estate planning for the
individual and family farm.

James B. Curtin has eighteen years of experience assisting individuals
and closely held businesses with their estate planning and income tax
needs. Mr. Curtin received his Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in
accounting, from Miami University in 1978.
While working
at an international public accounting firm, he received his law degree
in 1985 from the evening program at Capital University. Mr. Curtin is
also a certified public accountant. Mr. Curtin is a member of the American
Bar Associations subcommittee on Real Estate, Probate and Trusts,
the Ohio Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public
Accountants estate planning committee.
